About this Episode

First up we discussed Juan Quintero! After an impressive World Cup, is there a chance we see him back in Europe? The tricky number 10 has been linked to Tottenham, Real Madrid and a host of other clubs and whilst rumours have died down recently, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him back on the continent.

It would be rude to ask Simon why South American teams were generally quite underwhelming during the WC, so we dug into why this was a case and what these teams need to do to climb the lofty mountain to the top!

Next, we talked about Stuttgart's Nicolas Gonzalez! The talented Argentinian was linked to Inter, Tottenham and a host of other European clubs before deciding to take his talents to Germany. How will he fair? What's his ceiling?

The next two players we discussed have certainly been in the headlines the last couple of months; Rodrygo and Vinincius Junior. Just how good are these two? Are they the next Neymar, or the next Robinho? Simon has his say......

Back to Argentina, we talked Lautaro Martinez. How good a buy is this for Inter Milan? How will he fair? I also asked our resident Serie A expert Matt Santangelo on his thoughts of the move from a Calcio perspective! He also had quite the announcement to make....

Staying in Argentine, Christian Pavon is someone who's been linked with Arsenal since January but he's recently signed a new deal upping his release clause. Does this mean a move is completely off? Or are the club just looking for a bigger fee?

Next up we discussed the very curious tale of Geovani Banguera...the goalkeeper that has seemingly come out of nowhere in Colombian football and been a massive hit! Simon is a massive admirer....

Back to Argentina one more time, we talk Angel he going to get his chance to sign at Atleti this season? Or shoud he look elsewhere to fulfil his potential...

I then went on to ask Simon what on earth is going on with Yerry Mina? The dominant centre half had a fantastic World Cup, but Barcelona just don't seem to fancy him. A move beckons, but where to? And how good could he be if he plays regularly?

Next, I asked Simon for some hidden South American gems. He rattled off lot's of players I'd never ever heard of, but we also talked about the talented Lucas Paqueta who's been linked to Chelsea, Roma, Man City, Inter, name it basically!
